would be your best bet! Its four hours long and doesn't cost more the 30 euros. Do not take the night train! I did it the first time and it was horrible. Its the intercity train which has seats in little rooms where people smoke. On my first trip to Italy I did it and with in 4 hours I had a heavy smoker, then a prostitute which got kicked off the train by the police and some religious group, an experience I do not wish on my worst enemy. Its a nice ride and the eurostar is super quick! If you go by plane its a quick trip but then u have to take the water bus which takes an hour to get to st. mark square.What is the best way to travel from Rome to Venice ?
The best and cheapest way to travel to anywhere in Italy is by train. They are quick, relaiable, safe and you get to check out the amazing scenery. Look into booking Europasses if you do alot of travelling. They are a great deal.

RiccardoWhat is the best way to travel from Rome to Venice ?I did this trip 2 years ago. Grab the overnight train from Rome...it leaves Rome at like 10:30-ish and comes into venice at like 5am. The sunrise from the bridge there is amazing. If you dont have a place to stay yet when you get there. Get in line at the hotel/info booth near the exit (closest to the grand canal...not the train ticket info booth). At 7-or 8am, there will be someone there who can help get you a cheap hotel in a great location.What is the best way to travel from Rome to Venice ?
you cant only spend one night in venice. at least 2 or 3. try staying there as much as possible. as mentioned before you can take a train and check for them at www.trenitalia.com or you can also take a cheap flight so you get there faster and get time to enjoy the beautiful city of venice.
