I need a transformers lore fan to answer a question?

So in transformers, what technically is a "Prime"? What makes a transformer a prime? Is it like a royal bloodline or more of a superior race? Thanks!I need a transformers lore fan to answer a question? In the movies Primes are the first of the Cybertronian race. They have extra dimensional and other special powers (telekinesis, superior strength, innate wisdom) and are chosen rulers of Cybertron. They are demi godlike, so they are a special class. Their workers, overtime, became the Transformer race.

The Fallen is one of the original 7 Primes, Sentinel is a great descendant, and Optimus is a long lost descendant of the Primes.

Only another Prime, or direct descendant of, can kill an original Prime, but a descendant can be killed by normal means as they are part of the race that also descended from the Transformer race, making them regularly mortal

In G1 (and most other series), Primes are specially chosen leaders of the race chosen by the Matrix of Leadership. The Matrix contains the essence of their god, Primus, and only a chosen few with the right inborn qualities can use it. Anyone with these qualities can use the Matrix to it's full power, even a Decepticon

In the Transformers: Animated series, Primes are ranks that can be earned in Autobot Academy and in combat, with the suffix added to the soldier's name. The hierarchy goes Minor, Major, Prime, and Magnus, being the absolute leader of the Autobots and keeper of the All Spark

(ex: Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, Primal Major, Wedge Minor, Ultra Magnus)Optimus is a long lost descendant of the Primes.

I need a transformers lore fan to answer a question?A 'Prime' is an Autobot leader pretty much, they carry the Matrix of Leadership. Depending on which universe (live action, cartoons etc). The matrix is either given to them by another Prime, or the Matrix appears before them and they 'earn' the right to carry the matrix. For example, The second transformers live action movie: Sam Witwicky is technically a 'prime' as he earned the right to hold the Matrix as he saved Optimus' life.I need a transformers lore fan to answer a question?
From what I know, a Prime is like a rank almost, like the elite soldiers. It never explains that in the movie, but in the cartoons there are a couple more Primes besides Optimus and Sentinel, and they don't act like they are related, they act like fellow soldiers. But besides Optimus, all the other Transformers treat them as high ranking soldiers.
