Why Do Transformers on power poles sometimes blow up?

Not the robot transformers, or a type of person. But the actual metal thing with lots of copper in it, that is attached to some power poles.Why Do Transformers on power poles sometimes blow up?simple circuit overload caused by a surge, this can happen when a transformer or power line is hit by lightning.Why Do Transformers on power poles sometimes blow up?hi...maybe some of the poles have a high voltage,and that coulld maybe be affecting the radiation of the transformer!! you might want to check the voltage out
