Transformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?

I am planning to see Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen today, but I don't know if I should see it at the regular theatre or see it at an IMAX theatre. Can someone give me some feedback on the following:

1. Is it to loud in the IMAX (such as explosions and fight scenes)?

2. Would one recommend wearing ear plugs (at the IMAX) if it is too loud?

3. What you recommend? IMAX or a regular theatre?Transformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?It's louder and has a crisper sound in IMAX and the picture is better... think of it as watching a blu-ray on a GIANT screen but the sound isn't ear busting, just higher quality... It depends... if you don't mind spending the extra money, IMAX is always going to be better than regular... however there are only the major fight scenes that I noticed that they used the actual IMAX cameras on... I paid $16.45 for my ticket and would gladly pay it again, so there you go...

Also... when people pay for the IMAX ticket, they aren't as likely to talk loud and act stupid like someone that just pays 8 or 9 bucks for the ticket would, they want to get their money's worthTransformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?
If you don't mind paying a little extra and prefer to be up close and personal with the action, then IMAX is the way to go.

If you don't care about how much time and money the studio spend on beefing up their effects and just want to watch the movie, then a regular movie theater screening is the way to go.

It all depends on your preference and whether or not you really want the adventure of surround sound, cool graphics and a amusements park-like experience if being there and feeling like you're a part of the movie. Some people like it. Some people don't.Transformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?I love IMAX way much better. I've been there a few times, but where I'm from it's cheaper to watch movies in the regular cinema. To me it depends where you are sitting to get your neck hurt. If you go the the top it wont' hurt. The loudness isn't that loud, it's just surroundsound, but if your ears are sensitive the don't. Furthermore the movies are like POW...IN YOUR FACE! Sort of speak, it's up close and lifelike to me. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like an exposion in your face, and somebody's body being thrown at you. It's better if they're hot too. It's like up close and personal. But there is another theater like called the "Omnimax" that will hurt your neck, and the screen actually surrounds you. Literally the screen goes to the floor and curves outward and higher. They actually have the seats in recliner position. Well hope I helped.
IMAX !

for me imax is so much better. just bc i like the loud and the whole surroudning feel about it. hahaha

but if you are seeing it imax make sure you sit in the back section bc it does hurt your neck. and yes it is louder i think so if you dont like it too loud then you should go see at the regular one. and there are alot of explosions so its LOUD. hahahaTransformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?i bet it would be wicked awesome in IMAX. i saw "the dark knight" in IMAX, and it felt like i was really there. the surround sound is amazing, but i don't think it's so loud that you would need earplugs. i would reccomend IMAX because it's such an amazing experience.Transformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?
It depends on the theater...IMAX is pretty much the same volume as far as loudness is concerned, but some IMAX theaters aren't as nice as others. I saw the Dark Knight in IMAX last summer in NYC and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between that and my regular theater at home.
I think I would prefer watching it on the regular movie screen rather than IMAX for the first time, but I don't think it would be any louder than the regular movies. I've seen a couple of shows there, and it doesn't seem to be any louder to me.Transformers 2 in regular theatre vs seeing it at IMAX?
I saw a movie at IMAX a couple weeks ago and its plenty loud, but you deffinitely dont need earplugs for me it was actually less crouded and cheaper to go to IMAX plus it was just cooler so id definitely go their
I would recommend seeing it in digital at a regular theatre. The imax is so big that it makes my neck hurt.
See it at a regular theatre...it's loud enough there anyways. and the bathrooms are closer.
:)
i would see it in regular not imax. imax if very loud. but aren't all movies loud. i guess it depends what kind of person you are
This movie is already leaked online. I watched it at http://www.MoviePlace.info/movies
