How do you book a holiday without a travel agent?

I am about to book a holiday for my family and I to Malaysia and it looks like I might be able to save money if I organise it all myself. Judging by the accommodation and airfares I can save but then what else is there that travel agents arrange?

How do you figure out how to get to your resort from the airport? We are travelling to Langkawi and the plane goes to KL, once we get to KL how do we get to the island? What other things havent I thought of?How do you book a holiday without a travel agent?Welcome to Malaysia. Get a connecting flight to Langkawi, transit in KL. There's daily flight available to Langkawi. Check Malaysia Airlines website for ticket. http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/

Else AirAsia fly to Langkawi as well, but they operating from the LCCT terminal.

Next, book your desired resorts in Langkawi. Just do some research, read reviews from others then make your choice.

Finally, decide where you want to visit in Langkawi. Here a website that listed all attractions in Langkawi. http://www.abclangkawi.com/

Once you've got prices of all your flights %26amp; accomodation for everything, pop it all in an email and send it to flight centre, and ask them if they can do a better deal for you, than the prices you already have.

They normally take a day or two to get back to you, but they usually will find much better prices for you..

It is better you check with the Malaysian Tourism department. They can help you find a good holiday matching your budget. How do you book a holiday without a travel agent?Have you gone back to the travel agent to advise them that you have got a good price, sometimes they can go back to the tour operator to see if they can get a better price. When booking with a travel agent, then your holiday is protected (assuming you are in the UK)
