When NFL Players travel, do they make their own arrangements and pay for it, or does the team pay?

My Nephew receives travel money from his College and typically they make the arrangements for planes and hotels. My husband believes the players have to make their own travel plans, but that doesn't make sense to me. FOR major league teams, travel is provided. the team pays for the transportation ,usually a charter- air = if the distance warrants it, and the hotel.

The travel money your nephew receives is most likely a mean allowance.
