Is it safe to travel to cabo san lucas with the swine flu going around?

I will be leaving for Cabo San Lucas in the next 3 weeks and people have been telling me that "Gov.schwarzenegger send not to travel for the next 3 months?" is that statement true?

well, all in all, i just want to know if it should be safe for me to go?

if someone went already and came back safe, let me know.Is it safe to travel to cabo san lucas with the swine flu going around?I just got back from Cabo on the 18th. All was fine. I am going back on May 9th as long as the media doesn't ruin travel for all of us. My friends (American, Mexican, and Canadian) in Cabo all say there is nothing to worry about there. I also have friends presently in Puerto Vallarta and Zihuatanejo vacationing w/o worries. 1000 cases of flu in a city of 20 million should not scare you from Cabo 1000 miles away. Like another writer said, your chances of dying are probably better on the streets of most of OUR cities. --An OregonianIs it safe to travel to cabo san lucas with the swine flu going around?

Use wisdom, but don't let things of the world scare you. It's probably just as unsafe to go to any fast food restaurant or airport anywhere in the world! Tips: Wash your hands always. Don't touch your mouth or face after touching someone or something. Drink a lot of water and eat healthy. If you are a person who easily gets sick, then you will possibly get sick no matter what. Sneeze into your hands, then wash. Stay away from others who appear sick. Try to prepare your own food and drink bottled products. Death by flu occurs in the very young, the elderly, and those who have health problems (for example:heart, kidney, immune system, lungs). PS The media is VERY negative and often blow things out of proportion. Is it safe to travel to cabo san lucas with the swine flu going around?Hola. I am here right now. Although there are no confirmed cases here in Cabo right now, I have met with several people who have bronchitis type sickness flu right now but the clinics are not diagnosing swine flu.

It wouldn't surprise me if all the medical clinics in the resort towns have been told to downplay it. Not a good thing, but tourist money is priority one.Is it safe to travel to cabo san lucas with the swine flu going around?
Traveling to Cabo San Lucas is not a good idea for more reasons than I think you realize.. Check out what the Author of this news article says about why she canceled her trip down through Mexico.
We are flying to Cabo San Lucas 5/6 from Pasadena and coming back 5/11. We tried to get antiviral shots but couldn't find any place that had them. Cabo San Lucas is so far from MC. We go to Cabo a couple times a year and can't wait to get there. Is it safe to travel to cabo san lucas with the swine flu going around?
By early Tuesday, the swine flu outbreak in Mexico was suspected of causing 152 deaths and more than 1,600 illnesses, Mexico's health minister told reporters.

Do not risk it!
Don't, I wouldn't risk it. The swine flu in Mexico has killed atleast 20 people or so, so it's deadly. If I were you I wouldn't go.
My honeymoon is in Cabo and I leave June 7th. I'm waiting just a bit longer to see what happens...if things get worse, its a no go for me.

:(
yes it is.
