Baguio is 250 kms from Manila.
Travel time by private car can be as fast as 5 1/2 hours if you leave early and not encounter the morning traffic. Otherwise, travel time is average 7 hours.
Bus travel is also approx 7 hours, not much longer than travel by private car. This is because most buses do not have many stops. In fact, there are trips that do not stop anywhere, just rest stops between the Metro Manila terminal and Baguio.
If you are going by private car, make sure you take the detour thru Asingan starting at Carmen, Rosales, turning right before the bridge. Otherwise, you will suffer the very very heavy traffic from Villasis to Urdaneta because of a major road repair. If you miss this turn, you can still take the next detour, but it will be a longer trip on narrower roads, slowing you down unbearably.
