Can I still travel and re-enter UAE even if my UAE residence visa is due to expire in 4 months?

I understand passports should generally be valid for 6 months. However, does this apply to UAE residence visas? I'm planning to travel overseas and re-enter UAE after 2 weeks or before my UAE residence visa expires. No problem with my passport which is valid until 2012 but UAE residence visa is set to expire in 4 months time.Can I still travel and re-enter UAE even if my UAE residence visa is due to expire in 4 months?you should not be out of Uae for more than 6 months(in one period) other wise it is fine--------------cheers
