At the same time, give the cat an opportunity to have some cat food and water. Leave someone in the car for about 10-15 minutes to allow the cat his/her opportunity. Once that's done, return the cat to the carrier and go take a break for yourself. How do I travel 3000 miles with a cat in a 22 foot Uhaul truck, please help?
You'll want to get a roomy cat carrier/crate and consider keeping them up front. If you must put the cat in the back of the truck make sure that they are well protected you don't want anything back there shifting. Check with your veterinarian for special precautions if your cat tends to be nervous the Dr. may prescribe mild sedatives. You will also have to stop periodically to give the cat food and water and consider a leash to give some stretching time for both of you.How do I travel 3000 miles with a cat in a 22 foot Uhaul truck, please help?^
