I believe not enough research is being done. I want to be able to travel to another planet entering an adaptable environment that we humans can survive in.Who thinks outerspace travel and building a society on other planets should be developed in this life period? Not me.Who thinks outerspace travel and building a society on other planets should be developed in this life period?
i don't think in this period for there isn't enough research being done.Who thinks outerspace travel and building a society on other planets should be developed in this life period?we dont have the knowledge to go to a habitable planet however there are plans in effect to go mars and the technology is available to teraform it to make it habitable for humans in the long run ...in the short term habitats would be required and the political will to spend the money...check out the'life'magazine edition circa may 1991Who thinks outerspace travel and building a society on other planets should be developed in this life period?
are you out of your mind?
on this planet more than half the population is starving,
more than 2/3rds are living in poverty.
It's 2008 and there is still famine and war oppressing nations from the americas to asia to the african nations.
And you want to travel to another planet, enter an adaptable environment that humans can survive in?
That's not human I'm afraid.
As a human, not any religion, race or nationality, just a human, I think you've got to consider that we're not surviving on this planet as it is.
You don't leave it the way it is. You deal with it.
If you have cancer you do something about it, you just don't leave it be and let someone else cure you. You don't wait for the next life and start meditating now.
You are a part of the problem that this planet has and you need to stay here to fix it and play your part.
Screw travelling to other planets. My god.
You need to look up the dictionary and find words like compassion, respect, humanity, consideration, humility and equality.Who thinks outerspace travel and building a society on other planets should be developed in this life period?Everyone says no, until that asteroid zeroes in on us at 20 mi/sec :). It's Steven Hawking's opinion that humanity should explore life on other planets if it wants to survive.

This probably will not be available to the general public within our lifetimes.
Also, the cost for such ventures will be simply astronomical. So, unless you are a millionaire, or a highly talented professional person whose talents are needed by the organizations putting together those future trips, I would not get to excited about going.
On a more personal note, before getting all worked up about outerspace travel, I wncourage you to spend about 6 to 9 months alone in your closet at home to experience what the extended confinement might be like. If after you do that (no cheating) you still feel the same way, go for it. Personally I do not relish the idea of being sealed up inside of a sardine can for 12 months to 80+ years depending upon where you might wish to go.... travel outside of our solar system might take thousands of years and (consider this) might be a one way only trip.
As awesom as it sounds, %26amp; I too would like to wander amongst the stars, we are far from that technology being avalible. Maybe in another 200 years, but not for a while.
